... and keep the doctor away. i'm sorry, but i don't trust my health to someone who doesn't have the good sense to get a little bit of sleep every now and then. i mean really... everyone knows that if you don't get enough sleep your preformance drops, right?

Interns at an intensive care unit in a large Boston teaching hospital typically work 77 to 81 hours per week, with up to 34 consecutive hours without sleep. That's a heroic schedule, but one demanded by the culture of medicine and considered a sign of dedication to patients. But is this good for patients?

No, concludes a study by researchers at the Harvard Medical School...

apparently it isn't so obvious. if doctors need a harvard medical study to convince them that they need sleep, maybe we need to look into making some changes.

Would someone explain to me how you can misplace 380 tons of explosives?

Some 380 tons of explosives powerful enough to detonate nuclear warheads are missing from a former Iraqi military facility that was supposed to be under American control, the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog says.

i want to know how i've never heard of this guy before:

Policeman, officials, even rival gangs were eliminated in vicious killing sprees. Veerappan once captured a senior forest official, beheaded him and hacked off his hands. He tied grenades to five policemen and blew them up in revenge for the capture of his gang members. He is also said to have strangled his own daughter.
